Welcome to our website for the National Panhellenic Council (NPHC) at Columbia SC. Feel free to peruse the site and enjoy a few snippets of our excellence in community service. NPHC at Columbia has a rich and very significant history in the surrounding communities as a result of the Greek Unity displayed throughout the 15 member organizations who comprise our membership. Our focus has consistently been on Political Awareness, Education, and Healthcare.

NPHC at Columbia was chartered more than 60 years ago, with a goal of community unity in mind. We have participated in countless community events to include scholarship awards for the collegiate members of our organizations, and other deserving high school seniors, healthcare events, voter registration and education drives, candidate forums and partnerships with like minded organizations.

Greetings Sorors, Fraters, and the Greater Columbia Area,

I am humbled and honored to succeed many phenomenal leaders as the 27th President of the Columbia NPHC for the 2025-26 term. We are in the 65th year of our chartering and have experienced exponential growth amongst our Divine Nine chapters in recent years. With growth comes an expanded footprint and measurable impact of service, scholarship, and rich fellowship.

Just this past year, our 15 local chapters collectively awarded over $325,000 in scholarships to deserving graduating seniors in the Columbia and surrounding areas. These funds are often raised by individual chapters hosting their signature events throughout the year, which are wonderful opportunities to showcase our impact, strengthen our community partnerships, and advocate for issues that disproportionately affect youth and families of marginalized people.

Currently, there is legislation designed to minimize our contributions, while systematically chipping away at our educational system, women’s rights, job security, accessibility to health care, cost of medication, cutting edge research, and clean energy programs just to name a few. Now more than ever is the time for the Divine Nine in Columbia to use our collective voices to educate, foster resilience, and promote resources that contribute to our overall health and well-being.

As we move forward in the coming year, my goals as President are the following:

  • Commit to and engage in social action initiatives, while providing opportunities to educate our community on issues that affect them.

  • Continue to commit to, highlight, and support academic excellence with our youth.

  • Provide mini workshops that offer resources to our members that they can share with their chapters.

  • Support minority-owned businesses while fostering unity amongst our Divine Nine members.

  • Work towards creating a sustainable fundraiser hosted by the Columbia NPHC and the Divine Nine Foundation that will continue to fund our scholarships and service initiatives.

In closing, please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and peruse our website so that you can keep up with the many amazing events hosted by our local chapters! We look forward to seeing you in the coming months and please do not hesitate to reach out as we continue to keep our beacon of light shining bright in the Greater Columbia Area!
